I have worked in the field of counseling for over ten years and have worked in a variety of settings including residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient.
My therapeutic approach pulls from my experience, education, and perspective on life. At the basis of my therapeutic approach is the belief that we are all capable and worthy of building and living meaningful lives. My approach encompasses the values I hold as clinician of compassion, authenticity, empathy, and integrity.
I aim to tailor aspects of my approach based on the unique needs and goals of the client I am working with, pulling from a variety of therapeutic modalities including; CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and solution-focused therapies. I also utilize principles of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size when supporting someone in eating disorder recovery.
